TÜRKİYE ENERJİ GÖRÜNÜMÜ 2020 SUNUMUNUN İNGİLİZCE ÇEVİRİSİ YAYINLANDI
TMMOB Makina Mühendisleri Odası Enerji Çalışma Grubu tarafından hazırlanan Türkiye Enerji Görünümü Raporu, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 ve 2020 yıllarında Oda tarafından yayınlandı.
Grup tarafından hazırlanan ve sürekli güncellenen Türkiye Enerji Görünümü Sunumu, çok sayıda panel, kongre, sempozyum vb. etkinlikte sunuldu, Oda web sitesinde yayınlandı.
Sunumun Mayıs 2020‘de Oda web sitesinde yayınlanan son versiyonundan hareketle kısaltılmış bir düzenlemesi, Sunumu da hazırlayan Enerji Çalışma Grubu Başkanı Oğuz Türkyılmaz, Enerji Çalışma Grubu Üyesi Orhan Aytaç ve Enerji Çalışma Grubu danışmanı Yusuf Bayrak tarafından İngilizceye çevrildi ve İngilizce bir duyuru ile kamuoyuna duyuruldu ve web sitesine yüklendi.
Tamamen gönüllülük, işbirliği ve dayanışma temelinde hazırlanan Türkiye Enerji Görünümü Raporu 2020, yine aynı gönüllülük ve imece esasıyla bölüm yazarları, oda üye ve yöneticileri tarafından İngilizceye çevriliyor. Çevirisi sonuçlanan bölümler yayın hazırlıkları sonuçlandıktan sonra önümüzdeki haftalarda MMO web sitesinde yayınlanacak.
TURKEY ENERGY OUTLOOK PRESENTATION OF CHAMBER OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS IS PUBLISHED IN ENGLISH
Energy Commission of Chamber of Mechanical Engineers has prepared Turkey’s Energy Outlook Reports since 2010. Turkey’s Energy Outlook Reports have been published by Chamber of Mechanical Engineers in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and last one in May 2020. All these Reports as well as other reports prepared by Energy Commission of Chamber of Mechanical Engineers are uploaded to Energy Corner at web site of Chamber of Mechanical Engineers https://enerji.mmo.org.tr/yayinlar/ and can be downloaded.
In the last ten years, in addition to the reports, Turkey Energy Outlook presentations; based on the information provided in the Reports was also prepared and updated continuously a couple of times every year and presented by members of Energy Commission of Chamber of Mechanical Engineers in hundreds of meetings, panels, round table talks, seminars, congresses, symposiums in many cities all around of Turkey.
Only a few times, Turkey Energy Outlook presentation was translated to English before for limited audiences.
Abridged special version of Turkey Energy Outlook presentation has been prepared and translated to English by Oğuz Türkyılmaz, industrial engineer, Chairman of Energy Commission, Orhan Aytaç, mechanical engineer, member of Energy Commission and Yusuf Bayrak, mathematician, Advisor of Energy Commission. This trio has prepared and presented the Turkish original of Turkey Energy Outlook presentation for some years. Final proof reading of the English translation was done by Can Özgiresun, mechanical engineer.

-Provides information about Turkey’s Primary Energy Supply,
-Deals with external dependency and general energy balance and imports,
-Focus on electricity consumption, generation, demand forecasts and installed capacity,
-Briefs about Renewable Energy Resource Support Mechanism, (RESSM) and Renewable Energy Resource Area (RERA) schemes
-Argues the difference between Annual Generating Capacity and Actual Generation,
-Reviews status of realization rates of Licensed Power Plant Investments and the balloon in project pipeline
-Points out financial problems and outstanding credit debts of energy sector,
-Summarizes payments made to private electricity generation companies,
-Underlines priliveges provided to privatized power plants using local coal to postpone environmental protection investments
-Directs attention to the need of energy support to the poor people,
-Discusses dependency on imports and high buy prices of natural gas,
-Points out the need for a new public entity in oil and gas,
-Makes serious remarks about nuclear power plant projects in Turkey,
-Draws a realistic and updated picture of energy sector in Turkey,
-Opens a debate for a new paradigm, perspective and road map and underline
-Explains why public services such as energy should be provided by public organizations,
- Defines the corner stones of proposed energy strategy,
-States boldly what should be ended and what should be done
-Deals the need to restructure energy sector and establish new organizations and corporations,
-Discusses municipalities tasks, roles and functions in the proposed new energy policies
-Ends with below last words

Since 2010, all Turkey’s Energy Outlook Reports of Chamber of Mechanical Engineers were prepared with voluntary participation of the authors, editorial staff and editors as a concrete sample of cooperation and solidarity.
Turkey’s Energy Outlook Report dated May 2020 is being translated to English with same understanding and completely on voluntary basis by the authors and President, Board Member and Technical Staff of Ankara Branch of Chamber of Mechanical Engineers,
English Translations will be uploaded to Energy Corner after editorial control in coming weeks.
